MessageThanks, but we tried that and nothing changed. I'm thinking it's
something with OE that has to be tweeked.

Go to start, programs, jaws, tools and then choose installation maintenence
and choose the repair option. It will repair any corruption in jaws and it
will reset the jaws program. It's easier than to remove jaws and then
re-install it.

Yes, that's how we knew there were no attachments. I don't know if it's
jaws or OE causing this, and I'm wondering if we should reinstall jaws; it
can't hurt.

Have you made double sure that there is not attachments? Have you tried
insert+a? Press alt+f and then arrow down to save attachments. If you press
enter and nothing happens then there is definitely no attachments.

      Hi guys,

A friend of mine is running jaws 5.1 with windows 98 SE, and all of a
sudden, for some crazy reason, jaws is announcing attachment on every message
in the list. Now, he did mention that he has neglected his email to the point
that he now has over a thousand messages in his inbox, and I'm wondering if
that has something to do with it. I went to tools, options, security and made
sure that he was set up to receive attachments, but jaws is still saying
attachment where there is none. Any help is appreciated as always. Thanks.
