That is why I always distinguish between key commands such as <WINDOWS
KEY+U> to start Narrator and <WINDOWS KEY> to open the "start" menu
followed by <u> to open the "shut down" dialog box.

In some Freedom Scientific and other computer manuals, I have seen the
following instruction printed:

"to open the file menu, press the <ALT> key and the <F> key
simultaneously to open the File menu."

As you know, this instruction is incorrect because, as you know, the
<ALT> key has to be pressed and held down before pressing the <F> key
in order for the short cut command to open the "file" menu is to work
correctly.
