I had this very same problem when I installed JAWS 10 many months ago. I
reported it to FS and they agreed it was a bug that needed to be fixed. I
removed JAWS 10 and went back to JAWS 9. I installed JAWS 11 when it came
available. I was not enamored with JAWS 10.

I just recetly installed jaws 10 on an xp pro laptop. When I open notepad it
acts as if nothing is there. though if turn on window eyes it reads just
fine. What might I have overlooked during installation.
