ZoomText and JAWS would not be a good fit, but JAWS and Magic, which are both from Freedom Scientific, work just fine together. Magic does have built in speech which works similar to JAWS in that it does use Eloquence, but its controls are not quite as extensive as the full version of JAWS, since the main focus of Magic is for large print users who may need audible assistance. Freedom Scientific cannot guarantee that JAWS would run properly with screen magnifiers other than Magic, so you would be gambling by trying to run JAWS and ZoomText. Don't get me wrong, ZT is a good product and I'm in no way putting it down, but if you want compatible programs the above combination is what is recommended. Currently, Magic's new version is 9.0 and you can run it with its own speech if you prefer, or you can run it along with JAWS and its speech will yield to the JAWS program.
