jaws and num lock

I know that JAWS does not work correctly when the num lock is on however in
another group that I am in someone sent a message through stating that the Num
Lock will be automatically disabled in the new version of JAWS. Further that
this will be done through changes made to the computer settings or that
settings in the Bios must changed to accomindate this new change. Does anyone
know if this is true?
