Hi Adam

Thanks for your suggestions about my Jaws problem with selecting any text
and reading what is selected. It happens in all programs such as word,
Eudora and we did try notepad with the same results.

The latest is that I just talked to Freedom Scientific
Technical support and they said it is a problem with the video card. The
card I am using is called an 6100. They were not familiar with it but
suggested that I download Jaws 6. I did that and also downloaded Jaws 5.1
(was using an earlier version) so I will try that today.

Thanks so much for everyone who sent suggestions.
