Yes, or you can also just look for the dialog in the system tray and it is accessible. You may never use java but some applications you have may use java. Java will only update mminor versions. I.E. 1.4.2_03 to 1.4.2_05. That will work ok. If you want to update from 1.4 to 1.5 for example, you will have to completely remove, including folder containing java, the software and install the new software and re-install accessibility bridge. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Gomes" <finnygomes@xxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, December 16, 2004 11:34 AM Subject: java update When I turned on the system today, it made a warning sound and I had to use the jaws cursor and found that the java system was not up to date and my system was vulnerable to attacks. I went ahead and went to the java.com site and installed the java plug in and let it update the java software. was this the right thing to do? I never seem to use java as far as I know. web site www.rellek.com/stevegomes phone 720-747-4990 -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
