Hi Judith,

Make sure the program is maximized and try alt tabbing in and out of it to see
if the text is back or not. You might also try Insert + Esc keys to force JAWS
to refresh the screen. Not sure what could be going on there.

  Subject: irregularities with computer

A few weeks ago I got a new computer with windows xp pro and jaws 7. My two
major problems are:
  1. When in the middle of typing a document all of a sudden, when I go to the
top of the document, the first part has disappeared and I'm left with just a
paragraph. This has happened when writing an article and when editting a book.
I know I haven't pressed control A to select the text or pressed delete. Does
anyone know what can be causing this?
  2. When writing an email the first part of the message disappears and I'm
left with only the last few lines. Again, I didn't select anything or press
the delete key. Besides, if I selected everything in either case the entire
document or email would disappear and I wouldn't be left with even those few
lines. Please help someone, I think I am losing my mind! Judith
