Hello just to ad to this, my roommate and I are using her copy because
mine ran out at version 3.2, I lost my auth disk and we bought a sma for
this. I think it's perfectly fine as long as you are the only user or in our
case users.

yes, you can do that. the license provides for you being able to install on
two different computers. most of the time it's your desktop and a laptop, or
home and work, but I don't think it says you can't install it on your kids
computer.
