formating a cdrw with jaws 4.02 and 98

I am using jaws 4.02 and easy cd creator 5 with 98, When I try to format a
cdrw so that I can use it with explorer and the like, nothing is accessable.
Any suggestions or are there scripts anywhere? Thanks in advance! John
