OK In Outlook. There are multiple ways to identify, copy, and paste an email address into another message -- or wherever. I've identified below the methods that work best to me. From an email message. I use the virtual screen. 1. With the message on the screen, press Jaws Key plus alt plus W. 2. The above will virtualize the screen. Then, just arrow down, in Outlook, until you identify the "From" field. 3. If the actual email address is there, just use Shift plus the arrow keys to highlight. 4. Then, press control plus C to copy. You are finished. Press Escape to get rid of the virtualization, and you can use control plus V to paste the address anywhere. Now, if the email address isn't present, i.e., it is just a name, then, I use a different method. 1. With the email message on the screen, press Alt plus the number 1. That will read the "From" field. That's likely a good idea, regardless of the method you ultimately use. 2. If there is a name, and no email message, press Alt plus 1 twice quickly. That will, in effect, put the cursor, sort of, on the "from" field. 3. Synchronize the Jaws cursor to the PC cursor with Jaws key plus the top right key on the numeric pad. 4. Use the Jaws cursor to make sure you are on the name and then right click (The applications key may also work). 5. From the menu that pops up, arrow to "properties." Then press ENTER. 6. Tab until you hear the email address. Highlight, copy with control plus C, and you are done. Now, press Escape to leave the properties. Press control plus V to paste anywhere. From Contacts. Sorry. I've never used Address Book. 1. In Outlook, press control plus 3 to bring up the contacts list. 2. Type the first few letters of the person's name. 3. Once you've found your person, press ENTER. Then press Alt Plus R. 4. Press tab a couple of times until you find the email address. 5. Highlight and copy with control plus C. Press escape, and you are ready to paste wherever. ________________________________ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of John Fioravanti Sent: Saturday, October 30, 2010 11:10 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: finding an email address Actually, I mispoke. What I want to do is to be able to select an address from my address book or from an actual email that I previously received and paste it into an email to send to someone. Sorry. Thanks again. ----- Original Message ----- From: Adrian Spratt<mailto:Adrian@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, October 30, 2010 12:03 PM Subject: RE: finding an email address The shortcut for bringing up the address book is shift-control-b. Once the address book page appears, tab once to put focus on the list of all your saved addresses. You can arrow up and down this list or use first-letter navigation. If you want an address to appear in your To, cc or bc fields, just typing the first letter or two should bring up address book entries. If that isn't happening, you'll need to set up auto-complete. I no longer have OE installed, and I don't remember exactly where that is. However, try OE's tools and JAWS' insert-v menu. In an earlier reply, you say Outlook instead of Outlook Express. I assume you do mean OE. ________________________________ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of John Fioravanti Sent: Saturday, October 30, 2010 11:56 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: finding an email address Outlook express ----- Original Message ----- From: Adrian Spratt<mailto:Adrian@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, October 30, 2010 11:49 AM Subject: RE: finding an email address Using which email application? ________________________________ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of John Fioravanti Sent: Saturday, October 30, 2010 11:28 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: finding an email address Is there a short cut key for locating and selecting someone's email address either in the address book or from an actual email with jaws 10?
