Yes, this is a bug in Windows XP Service pack 2 that if you uninstall it, it still reports that you are using Service pack 2. This is nothing to worry about. Service pack 2 has indeed been uninstalled. You can change something deep in the registry so it reports you are using the correct version, but there isn't really a need to do this. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Peter McGlinchey Sent: October 16, 2004 7:10 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: copying a web address Hi alt d has stopped working for me. when I do it, the copy command does not work and jaws is silent. If I tab back into the main page, Jaws is back but the insert key appears to be an alt key at that point. I.e. Insert t says alt T. I did download service pack 2 which may or may not be related. Later I uninstalled service pack 2 but the problem remains. When I check the version of internet explorer, I see it still shows sp2. Has anyone else experienced this problem? To copy the web address of the page you are currently on, hit alt+d, then ctrl+c, assuming you're using Internet Explorer.
