Heya Don,

I think you are spot on there mate cause I never used WMP11 with my old PC
before it died and ended up upgrading to 11 once all these updates popped up
to update my windows. I tend to use win amp anyway but was trying to
understand WMP11 interface one needs to be a rocket scientist to get around
its screen

Cheers, Jim

Hi folks,

Actually, someone on one of these lists did discover which program is
causing this to happen and I, for one, have reported it to FS. The problem
is caused whenever Windows Media Player 11 is launched. After that, even if
you close WMP 11, JAWS no longer reports the Copy and Cut commands.

FS told me that they expected to have a solution with JFW 9, but it
hasn't happened yet, even with the upgrades to the latest version, so I
guess they haven't figured out what WMP 11 is doing to JAWS to cause this to

happen.

Like many others, my temporary fix is to unload JAWS right after closing

WMP 11 with Insert F4 and then launching JAWS with my hot key.

    Regards,

    Don
