Hi Yardbird,
Thanks for the great directions. I also was wondering on how to accomplish
this.

Now for my question. When changes to configuration manager are saved, is it
necessary for jaws to be shut down and restarted for the changes to take
place or can one just proceed as normal?

Thanks for the help.

  Hi,
This is something you can toggle on or off in Configuration Manager.

  Insert 6 for Configuration manager.
control shift D for the default file.
  Alt S for Settings.
  Arrow down to Tex Processing.
Tab to the check box for Detect languages. If you enjoy Eloquence assuming
a
British accent at times like this, leave the item checked. If you don't,
  uncheck it (space bar).
  Tab to OK, press Enter.
Control S to save the file, Alt F4 to exit.

Now you won't get the British English anymore, and that sort of thing.
