It may be useful to keep this setting on. When JAWS comes across text that can be clicked, it will say "clickable." The msn web messenger site at webmessenger.msn.com has this clickable text below the combo box that lets you choose your sign in status. If I hadn't heard clickable spoken, I probably wouldn't have clicked on the text that says start msn web messenger.

What other sorts of things will that turn off, though?  Might it cause some
unforeseen inconveniences?

If you turn off the reading of elemnt attributes in JAWS, this should get rid of the reading of clickable.
