Just a comment, this does not always work.
I often have items in my system trey that jaws 7x will not read. If I load
jaws 6 several more items will be read than with jaws 7.

hello!

Assuming that you are using Windows XP with JAWS.

Please do the following:
1. Go to ctrl panel.
2. Look for "Task bar and start menu".
3. In the "Task tab", press your tab key and look for "Group similar button
check box".
4. Please uncheck the check box, space bar will do it for you.
5. Press tab key again and look for "Hide inactive icon check box".
6. Press your space bar to uncheck.
7. Look for the Ok button, to save the changes you made.

Please let me know if your question has been answered.

I put JAWS on the system tray when I was experimenting for others,
but now it's no longer there. I've had icons disappear before, i.e. the
battery icon (I'm working on my laptop) but it would come back after a
restart. it's been awhile since I've seen jaws though. which isn't good,
because now if I want to change anything I can't. all I want to do is be
able to see jaws again so I can quickly put it back into the alt-tab
rotation, where it belongs!
