Well they don't actually do the same thing. Ghost makes a complete "clone" of your PC. And then when you restore the ghost image, you blow away your current system, and it is replaced with the ghost image of your computer at the point in time you "ghosted" it. The transfer and settings wizard allows you to connect a different computer to an existing computer and transfer certain things. I haven't used it, but I know Terrill Reynolds did when I ran JFWLite and he said it was jaws friendly. But I don't think this is what you are wanting to do. You can transfer settings for Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Outlook Express, as well as desktop and display settings, dial-up connections, and other types of settings. As you go through the wizard, you can select the files and settings that you want to transfer. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rob Monitor" <mred99@xxxxxxxxx> To: "jfw" <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, June 15, 2006 11:41 AM Subject: back up computer Hi, I have XP home and Jaws 7.0 can I Use the files setting transfer wizard to back up my computer on to a 4 GB. memory stick or do I have to get something like gost??? -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
