Another way to adjust the width of columns is ctrl+shift+ numpad plus key, the pc cursor. I would be surprised if it read any different. Remember you only have so much room in the window. WHen you hear ... that means there is more text than what fits in the window. You may need to adjust the size of some of your columns. Go to the view menu, press C for columns. You will have a list of all the fields. Then you can tab to the pixels wide edit field and specify a width for each column.
