Hi,

Had the same problem on the beta and reported it to FS and they told me they
couldn't replicate the problems as usual.

I guess its not fixed. Not sure i will be running the 7.1 release then.

Thanks,

Rick

Subject: another potential bug in 7.1

Hi all!
This didn't happen the first few times i ran outlook express with 7.1, but
now, whenever I close OE, I lose speech entirely. I assume the jaws window
is up, but I get no speech no matter what I press. Oddly enough, however,
when I shut down the computer via key strokes, speech returns during the
shut down process. This is a terrible inconvenience. I should not have to
keep my OE window open all of the time in order to retain speech. It looks
like another beta might have been a wise choice before releasing this
version of jaws.
Allison
