How do you know the form is protected?
If you battle to fill in a form in word it means the form is
unprotected. Make sure the form is protected by going to the forms
toolbar.
You go to the view menu, then to the toolbars submenu and then make sure
forms is checked. Now press alt and press control+tab until you hear
jaws say something about forms, that means you are on the forms
toolbar. Now tab until you get a button that says protect or
unprotect.
If it says unprotected press enter to protect it. hth

I need to fill out questionnaires in Word. The questions are formatted
in
such a way that they are protected by the author, and there is a grayed
area
where the answers can be written. JAWS won't read these documents. All I
can
get JAWS to say is "Type your answer here." The JAWS curser will read
part
of the questions, but I can't match the questions with the correct
grayed
area. I've tried changing the view menu, going into the properties and
tweaking a couple of things, but nothing helps. Can someone offer some
advice? Thanks.
