Hello all:
This may go down as mere curiosity, but it, I hope, is or will become a basis
for requesting an addition to the set of new features in JAWS 7.0.
I saw the posting on the Freedom Scientific Website about new Word navigation
commands. Apparently, by entering a preface keystroke, one can use simple
letter commands (as on Web pages) to jump to various locations within a Word
document, e.g., "t" for "next table" and "b" for next "book mark."
This all seemed fine, and some of the selections seemed useful. Others, quite
frankly, seemed to be duplications of Word functions (through using control-g)
that work pretty well.
What is sadly missing is the ability to jump to "next revision."
When reviewing Word documents with "track changes," one either has to arrow
through the document, listening line-by-line for indicated changes or bring up
(with shift plus JAWS key plus R) the revisions dialog box.
Then, one has to arrow down through the list.
When there are 50 or 60 revisions in a fifty page contract, that's a pain too.
If Freedom Scientific simply added "r" to jump to "next revision," that would
be a truly useful feature.
Anyway, I sent this suggestion to "support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
Is there a better place to submit such a suggestion?
Does anyone else agree that the above-described "jump to next feature" command
would be useful?
