Windows Updates

Hello,
Someone on the list mentioned avoiding installing IE 7 by changing the way
updates are set up. I did change the notification to prompt me and let me
select the updates I want. This morning the IE 7 update downloaded and I
unchecked it, now would it be okay to go back and change the update settings
to automatic, or will the IE update keep coming up?
I have already downloaded and installed IE 7 directly and do not like it
and have already uninstalled it, but I do want the latest security updates.
