Hello,
I would suspect that your JAWS for XP might be a 32 bit configuration and I
might also wager that the laptop is a 64 bit system.
All you need to do is download the current version of JAWS 11 from FS to
your laptop.
I am running Windows7 Premium on a HP Pavilion 64 bit laptop with JAWS 11
and it works fine.
I would tell you that the Windows 7 and JAWS 11 do have their particular
quirks but, all in all, they work fine together.

I am currently using JAWS version 11 on a desktop computer with XP Home as
the operating system. I have recently purchased a laptop with Windows 7
Premium as the operating system. But my current version of JAWS does not run
properly on the laptop.
Is there a different version of JAWS for running on Windows 7 Premium? Also,
would the JAWS 11 running on XP Home run without problems on Windows 7 Home
or Basic?
Awaiting your answers ASAP since I have to return the laptop if JAWS will
not run on it.
