Rich, a script is a set of instructions that make it easier for a screenreader like Jaws to interact with any application, thus making the application easier to use. Jaws has scripts for Internet Explorer, MS Word, Outlook Express, and WordPerfect, just to name a few applications. In Window-Eyes, scripts are called set files, but they perform the same function.

What is a script and how does it work?

Thank you for answering this simple question.
