Well of course it is, Judith. She isn't talking about what you hear when
you select Jaws on your programs menu, or its icon on your desktop. She
doesn't actually mean that. she means you put up the Jaws interface with
Utilities, voices, synthesizer, and help menus, and then you press control
insert v and it tells you the exact version number and all sorts of stuff
about your copy. What you're talking about is just finding the Jaws item on
your programs list, just like anything else on the list. That's not what
she means.

I wasn't in on this thread from the beginning but after reading a few of
these messages I hit windows key, programs and then arrowed down to jaws
where I heard "Jaws 7.0". Is Jaws in your start menue? Judith

Ah, finally I have it. What you mean is, you put the Jaws interface on the screen, either by cycling to it in the task tray or bringing it up with Insert J, and *then* you press insert control v and hear the info about that version of Jaws. you don't "enter" Jaws. I couldn't figure out what you meant about "entering" and the desktop, which must mean something to you but I can't figure out what, exactly.
