Don't know how you managed to do version 1.2.6, but here's the direct link so
you can see for yourself.

Let me know what you think. Mark

I would suggest using the newer beta as well, but I have used both 1.23 and
1.26 here with Jaws and it was an easy process. The tutorial on my website is
for version 1.23 and the version of the program is 1.26 on my site. I've used
audacity 1.26 here to do a few podcasts on the website. Not sure what or who
gave you the idea that 1.23 or 1.26 won't work.

Sorry but your incorrect. I have used it with jaws with no problems at
all. I have a audio tutorial and the audacity file for download on my web site.

    www.blind-geek-zone.net

Look near the bottom of the audio page for the demo and look in the
programs page for the program download.

    Thanks,

    Rick

Audacity 1.2.6 is not going to work at all with JAWS. I can tell you
that for a fact, and the tutorial on the net will tell you as much. You can
just Google something like "Audacity tutorial for using JAWS" and you should
find it. It's very comprehensive, and the latest one covers the latest beta
version--1.3.3. I highly suggest using 1.3.3 even though it is in beta, but
then so was 1.3.2, but did they release an official version? Of course not!
My point being that yes it's in beta, which basicly means there's a few bugs,
but overall it really does a good job. I use it myself, and I have very rarely
had problems with it. Mark

        Greetings!

I am using JAWS 8.0.1163 with Windows XP home; I'm considering
downloading Audacity 1.2.6. Does JAWS work well with this program? Are there
any pitfalls I should consider?

Thanks in advance for any help you might provide.

        Best wishes,

        Rollie
