Checking normal doesn't appear to have done much, but refreshing jaws does
work, but only for a very brief time. I recall that I had this identical
problem when I left the halcyon era of dos, and became a very unwilling user
of the windows operating system. How it was fixed permanently, I do not
know, as the machine was taken away and repeatedly experimented upon until
the computer lab technician happened to strike the right medicine for the
illness.
I was doing the refresh jaws thing then, but had to do it for every line it
seemed. It works, yes, but scarcely as it should do.
My anti virus program is AVG6.0, not Norton's!
