Don't forget that the example winnt.sif file is for xp home.
you can make your own winnt.sif file from the deployment tools from ms.
found on the xp cd.

I'm surprised no one has answered you yet David.
1. Edit nd Winnt.sif as instructed.
2. Press control+s to save changes.
3. Rename nd Winnt.sif to Winnt.sif by just removing the nd part.
4. Format a floppy disk; and on it, put the Winnt.sif and Winnt.bat.
5. Follow remaining instructions as given.

Hi, my friend wants to upgrade from Windows ME, to Windows XP.
I downloaded the Windows XP Unattended setup files,
I know, you need to change the Winnt.sif file, adding product key, and
first and last name.
once this is done, do I just copy text to clipboard, and copy to a
floppy? I would appreciate the proper steps, so, I don't mess up. if I
change the Winnt.sif file, and ctrl S to save, and then alt key to save
as, and type in, Winnt.sif, do I reopen file, copy to clipboard, and
then copy to Floppy? thanks for the help, in advance.
