UAC (user account control) is a security measure new to Vista that requires confirmation or the administrator password before an action that modifies the system can take place. Actions can include installing/uninstalling software, changing date and time, etc. JAWS and other access software that previously used Video Intercept now use Microsoft Mirroring technology. This provides the ability to change video cards, including their drivers, without affecting the access software installed. Hope this helps.
