Thank you.  I installed AVG virus and turned on the Windows firewall for
now, and used Windows Defender spyware tool and everything is working great.


I will tackle the laptop in question this weekend.  It will be difficult to
get used to not having Norton, since I have used a version of it since 1990
when I accidentally deleted about 100 files off my hard drive before
printing them, but, I had 2007 on the laptop and it was horrible to try to
use with Jaws, so, after 16-17 years, they will lose my business.  I do
still use Norton Backup and Restore, however, works reasonably well with
Jaws and has saved me a couple of times in the past 18 months.

Rose, I suggest AVG Internet Security Suite. Very accessible with JAWS, does
what AVG Free does but includes more features obviously. Hope that helps.
