Hello List Members, I have a couple of issues which I hope that you can help me resolve. For the last couple of months, I have been using a CD-Player/Recorder which is hooked up to a stereo receiver to record specific programs that are featured on AM Radio. I guess I could purchase an MP3 player or an Ipod to record these shows, but I don't record a lot of them, so just want to have a permanent hard-copy CD. What I find is that most of the time the CD-player will record the show, though sometimes this is not the case and I have come to understand ( also confirmed by other people that I have talked with), that this technology is not always reliable. Therefore, I would like to know if there is an available program that allows me to use my PC for recording these programs from XM and then allows me to transfer the file to a CD using Windows Media Player, Winamp, or a similar program. This software should also have some other features like file editing and adding markers, so that when I create a hard-copy CD, I can skip through tracks that I don't want to listen to at that time. Secondly, I would appreciate some feedback regarding the Jaws scripts for Itunes which have been around forthe last 18 months or so and I believe were developed in England. I am considering purchasing these scripts. I have downloaded the user manual which is not written very well, in my opinion. As an alternative to the Itunes scripts, has anyone been able to purchase songs from the Itunes store and transfer them to a file and then to CD, using JFW and alternative scripts that someone else has developed. For that matter, has anyone been able to work with JFW and Itunes without using any scripts? On a related note, are the most recent JFW upgrades, (jfw8 and above more compatible with the Itunes scripts? Finally, are their any scripts for Windows Media player which I find really cumbersome when I have downloaded a song that someone has sent me, or that I have purchased and I have to tab around in order to locate the track, add to a particular playlist and then burn onto a CD. It would be great if there were specific scripts to make this process a bit less of a hassle. Please contact me offlist at: jusliz@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx I would appreciate whatever assistance this list can offer. Best to all, Justin Saint Paul MN
