hi friends,
why there are many people saying that nero 7 is not accessible or less
accessible with jaws, what i can tell is, i'm using nero 7
everyday with no trouble at all. i start using nero way back to the year 2000.
at that time, i'm using another screen reader but not
jaws with nero 5. 3 years later, i make a move to jaws and that time i also
change to nero 6. 3 years later, 2006, i'm using jaws 7,
7.10 and 8.0 with nero 7.X.X.
above is my experience with nero start from nero 5.x until nero 7.x. to be
honest, i don't need any extra support script to work
with nero burning rom. my personal advice is, don't use nero express and nero
start smart if you are a screen reader user. you
should use nero burning rom, and make a little adjustment to make the program
work perfectly with jaws.
i have to use nero everyday in my office, i have a company that help
individual/company duplicating cds/dvds and also convert old
VCR tapes to VCD/DVDs. to be simple, i own a cd/dvd duplicater company. so
thats why i said earlyer that i've been using nero for
the pass 7 years and use it everyday.

Unfortunately Nero 7 is a whole other story with Jaws. I hear very mixed
reports to the accessibility of Nero 7 with Jaws. I don't use it here and I
don't have an answer for you.

Speaking of Nero, I just downloaded and installed the latest version (7).
When I try to access the menus, I can bring them up but I can't arrow down
to a particular choice. I know that there is something that needs to be
turned off in order for the Nero menus to funciton properly with JAWS. Does
anyone know what I need to do to take care of this situation?

Nero 5 shouldn't need any scripts that I know of. I use version 6 here and
it doesn't need scripts and version 5 isn't much different than 6.
