Scan Soft Voices

hi to all,
I'm using Scan Soft voices That came with the Jaws CD. Usually I change the
speed of these voices on the fly, but when I press Jaws key+Escape to get
the speed back to normal,, the volume go down in a way that I can barely
hear them. Did anybody experienced this problem? What is the solution?
