Greetings again!!
To modify the Pitch and rate of the new kurzweil voices in Jaws, you
must do the following:

1) Bring jaws up on your screen with Insert + J
2) Press Alt+ L for the language menu
3) Press the letter C. You should hear change synthesizer. A submenu
will open.
4) Arrow down until you hear SAPI 5. and press enter
5) Press Alt + O to open the options menu
6) Press V to open the voices menu.
7) Press I to select the Individual voice adjustment
8) Press Alt + S to select the person selection. Arrow up and down
until you hear NeoSpeak and the voice name.
9) Press Alt M to get to the modify section and press tab once. This
takes you to the Jaws voice selection ..i.e. PC cursor voice, Jaws
Cursor voice etc.
10) You can modify the voice listed, or press down arrow to select one
of the other cursors.
11) Alt + R to get the voice Rate adjustment. Right or left Arrow until
you get an acceptable rate. I prefer setting the rate at 10.
12) Press Alt + P to get to the pitch adjustment. Use the right and
left arrow to set the pitch. I prefer the pitch to be 11.
13) Press Alt + A to apply the changes
14) Press Alt + O to close the individual voice adjustment window.

Note: you must select each cursor voice to be modified individually.

INote2: If Sapi 5 is not set as your default synthesizer, than jaws will
revert to its default synthesizer for the next time you run jaws. You
can either set the SAPI 5 synth as default, or change the synthesizer
when you need it.

The settings we set for the individual voices will stay, as long as you
press the Alt + A.

If you need any more help..just ask.

Cheers

Craig
