After doing a little more experimentation, I've found that the problem is more
general. Any JFW dialog that I pop up over a large web page will cause the
Virtual Cursor mode not to return unless I am activating a link that takes me
to another page or I press Tab a time or 2. I have observed this behavior on
AMAZON.COM as well as the other 2 sites I mentioned. AMAZON.COM is a complex
page with many links, and is the type of page to check for this behavior on
your systems. I would be interested to know if others are seeing this
behavior. Just bring up a dialog such as the Links List or the dialog that
lists the icons in the System Tray, and press Escape to exit the dialog. Press
the Plus key on your keypad to see if JFW speaks Virtual Cursor or PC Cursor.
It should say Virtual Cursor. Try it on

www.amazon.com
or
www.audible.com

If you try it, tell us the version of Windows and the browser you are using,
since this may make a difference.

Sounds as if we're all crapping out with this 11.

A problem I had with JFW a few versions ago has returned. Using the latest
version of JFW, the Virtual Find command invoked with Control+f doesn't work on
large web pages such as AUDIBLE.COM and Zap2It. JFW doesn't return to Virtual
Cursor mode after entering text to find and pressing Enter. I can work around
the problem by pressing Tab, which seems to restore the Virtual Cursor. Then I
can press F3 to find my text.

This all seems very familiar since my bug report to FS when it happened
before was similar to what I wrote here. They eventually fixed it, but as
usual, they broke it again. Reminds me of the "Reply to Sender" script, which
they break on a regular basis. Has anyone tried that one with the latest
version of JFW?
