Hi Anita,
Consider this:
If your messages are grouped, and you see a message you want to read, then
open and read it.
Afterr you have read it, press escape to close the message.
If Jaws reports the message as unread, then you will know it is collapsed.
Then alt v, then x to expand it.
Also, if you want to delete a message, when you do so, if it is collapsed,
you will get a message if you want to delete all the messages in the
collapsed view.
The key to telling if a message is collapsed, is listening to the state of
the message, whether Jaws says the message is still unread, after you have
opened it.
