In the midst of all the issues we confront here and help each other with daily resulting from so many applications or functions within applications being inaccessible or mysterious when using Jaws, I thought a positive report about something might be nice. Since downloading and installing the latest version of AVG Free Edition not long ago, I've been pleasantly surprised to find that it's more Jaws friendly than any previous version has been. I am using Jaws v. 7.0. When I launch AVG's control center from my task tray to perform any task or make any setting I've concerned myself with so far, it actually behaves nearly as well as a major application like Word or Outlook Express. I can tab around from control to control crisply and accurately and everything else. I should knock wood or something, because maybe I'll try to adjust some setting one of these days and find myself wrestling with the Jaws cursor again and trying to figure it out with a lot of frustration. But so far, it's looking better than ever, which is a very welcome relief. -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
