Outlook Express messages question

I experienced this problem with JAWS 8 and now, with JAWS 9. I don't think
it happens in JAWS 7.1, but I'd have to use it for awhile to be sure.

I believe I have Outlook Express set, correctly, to group messages by
conversation. However, after the first message in a list, in a folder, JAWS
seems to say "Expanded" one message before the actual subject thread. I
contacted FS about this. I received a call from a technician, but was on
the phone, so he left a message. I did return the call and left a message
for him, but never heard anything more. By that time, I just figured I'd
wait for JAWS 9 and see if the problem was corrected. It isn't. But, since
it's happening with these two versions of JAWS, I'm wondering if there's an
OE setting that I should check...maybe it's Outlook Express and not JAWS.

The other thing I've noticed is, when opening OE, I hear the first contact
in my addressbook, which is fine. But, it usually says "2 of...". So, it
appears that JAWS believes there's something ahead of whatever the focus is,
in a list.

If anyone has suggestions, I'd appreciate them.

Cindy
