Liz, one of the pluses of OmniPage is that it supposedly retains the settings of the last action. Without further information, I'd guess there is something about the registration that didn't take. It's been a long time since I registered and can't remember any devils that might have jumped up. Meanwhile, you should try the scanner's and Omnipage's support. ----- Original Message ----- From: Liz Wade To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, June 16, 2008 9:00 PM Subject: RE: OCR software compatible with Jaws Yes I did try it and although it seemed to work I got fed up. Do you know of a way that the scanner settings can be saved. I ask this as each time I scan it wants me reset up and configure my scanner and keeps asking me to register my software even though I did that once. Thanks in advance. The OmniPage works with Jaws. Have you tried it? ----- Original Message ----- From: Liz Wade To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, June 16, 2008 6:40 PM Subject: OCR software compatible with Jaws Hi Guys: I would like some information. Is there a list somewhere of OCR software that is compatible with Jaws? I have been using presto with good results the past several years; however, I purchased a new scanner which is a cannon canoscan 4400F. Presto is now giving some sort of error message something about Russian or something and it does not finish the scan. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am using windows XP home. Thanks. Liz
