As for scanners and OCR I would recommend the Fujitsu ScanSnap line. I
don't remember my model number but it is a sheetfeed scanner that
processes
apx. 16 double sided pages / minute. The scanner comes with Adobe Acrobat
Professional and Abby Finereader. It is quite accessible with JAWS and
can
take a stack of papers and convert it into a text-based PDF at the push of
a
button. The software works with Windows XP and Vista. My model was
around
$400 USD.
As for VOIP, I would recommend the Asterix server. This is a linux based,
and I believe open source, solution that can be managed from configuration
files and xml files. I'm sure that there are front-end GUI interfaces for
it, but I don't know how accessible they would be.
