Well, that was certainly a smart inference to have made! Out of curiosity, I
cycled over into a Word document I'm at work on and tried the same thing,
looking at the Edit menu both without anything selected and then with a few
words selected. But it didn't matter; there was no item on my edit menu
related to the Clipboard. Now, I'm using Word 2000, for reasons of
preferance about certain features. But let me guess, Judith, you're using a
much more recent version of Word, probably, yes? Which one?

Subject: Mystery solved!

After reading Yardbird's tip on alt e revealing various edit fields in
outlook I went to word, hit alt e, arrowed and got to a function that
read"clipboard B". At the time there was nothing there so I selected some
text, copied it to the clipboard, unselected and went bback to the edit
list. I hit b and it read exactly what I had copied to the clipboard!
Mystery solved! Judith
