Bruce,
In JAWS 5.0 I have found that it is occasionally necessary to unload and
restart JAWS in order for it to read the information in Microsoft
Outlook and Microsoft Word. It, upon occasion, just becomes unstable for
no apparent reason.
I have not noticed that the cancelling and restarting of JAWS has any
negative effect on my operating system.
Cy, the Ancient Okie...

There are those who recommend against unloading and reloading JAWS too
often. They say this destabilizes the system. The extent to which this
is
true I do not know.
