Hi Ray, Maybe, try changing the account in question to limited status then try again to delete it? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ray Campbell" <ray.campbell@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, March 20, 2008 12:53 PM Subject: More User Account Fun Hello all: I am working with a client that has a situation where someone messed with his computer and put several user accounts in place. He's running JAWS 8.0 on a Windows XP machine. There are six accounts outside of the Administrator logon. We deleted five of these accounts which were set up as limited accounts without any problems. However, we cannot get rid of the last account which is an account with administrative privleges. I had him log in as "administrator" and then go into the control panel. We found the account we want to get rid of, however, when I have him press enter on it, then tab and down arrow through the options, there is no option to delete the account like there was with the limited accounts. Again, he is logged in as administrator; I know that you cannot delete the account of someone logged on. The account he wants to delete happens to have administrative privileges. This would not normally be a problem except my client's stuff is under the administrator login. He had no other accounts on the computer and the computer would automatically start up and go into windows. He wants it to do that again and he wants all of these accounts deleted. If anyone can help, please let me know. I've done some searching both on google and in Microsoft's knowledge base and don't have any answers.
