hi it happened to me and the only way I could get them messages in my outbox was to get in to the outbox and selecting all and hitting the delete key.
The further funny things were that people were telling me that I was sending my message to them 10-15 times.

Open Office is free and saves into enough file formats that, if I could get it to work, would eliminate the need to spend the five or seven hundred bucks or so it takes to buy Office 2007.
