Thank you. I just updated my laptop with jaws 6.2 and now it doesn't say anything when I send an email now...and I know that with an earlier version of jaws it did. So, I guess my new computer is working the way it should.

You basically have to trust it. The only way to see it happening is to email something large like a song, or a large .wav file that is over a meg in size. Then it will happen slowly enough for you to be aware of it.

How do you know that it is actually happening? I guess I have been a little nervouse about it, because I found out that some folders weren't put in when the program was actually installed. Is this something a sighted user can see happening?

I have Norton and jaws 6.2 and it still does scan the e mail before leaving and coming in to your system but it does not say anything.

Is anyone using Norton internet security 2005 with jaws 6 and windows XP? I have used it on 2 other computers with different versions of jaws and when I send an email I hear static progress bar while it scans the email before it is sent. Now I am using a new computer with win XP and jaws 6 with norton internet security and I do not hear anything when I send a message. AS far as I can tell the program says email scanning is on--is there any other way I can check this? Thanks Joy
