Jumping to a whole new version of JAWS is most likely a marketing ploy by FS to justify the cost of extending one's SMA. After all, if they released these changes as version 9.1, users would be less inclined to shell out the extra bucks for the upgrade. Nobody seems to know who really owns FS, but there are rumors floating around that it is actually owned by an investment group based inn Dubai, United Arab Emirs which may be pressuring management in this country to release new versions of JAWS on a regular cycle.

Hi all: I am surprised that FS is releasing this version is v10, as the way I see it, the changes are nice and very useful but in my opinion not significant enough to jump to a whole new version. I recall in many previous versions FS has included more break throughs and features. I am not trying to compare products here by any means, but I want to use the example of GwMicro upgrade path from Window Eyes 6.1 to 7.0 where the upgrade has introduced a significant break through for their product. If I did not have an SMA already, I would have probably waited to another version before I pay to upgrade from v9.0 to v10.00. I don't mean this as a negative criticism but rather as a feedback from a long time euser of Jaws, in fact my serial number is a four digit one.

Cheers,

kamalThis is meant as a positive criticiswiated
