hi Marissa & all,
you can disable jaws progress bar announcement by doing this:
you must in internet explorer to do the following changers:
1. press insert+f2 to run jaws manager.
2. press "c" for configuration manager, press enter.
3. when during in "jaws configuration manager" press alt+s for set option
menu.
4. press "u" for user options...
5. you will then land at the first option call "progress bar updates", there
is 7 choice in the combo-box, if you don't want jaws announce the progress
updates then you select off.
6. press tab until u get "OK button" press enter.
7. press ctrl+s to save the changers.
8. finally, press alt+f4 to close the configuring manager.
