Is your PC an older model? IE 9 has this thing called hardware accelaration. Basically what it does is that it makes your processor works twice as fast when encountering graphics and videos. You can turn this off in IE 9 settings and see what happens. In my case I have been using IE 9 since the beta and I am happy that I did. I really hated IE 8. But now IE has become my default browser.
