John:

If your friend is using JAWS 12, press JAWS KEY/INSERT+SPACE BAR, followed by
S, to mute JAWS during the recording. When the recording is finished, press
JAWS KEY/INSERT+SPACEBAR, followed by s, to unmute JAWS.

HTH

Sincerely:

Dave Durber

  Subject: Total Recorder Software Issue

Hi, I'm writing this on behalf of a friend. The issue is with total recorder
recording the jaws voice when he records something like an audio stream off the
internet. It doesn't allow you to turn off the what you hear selection so it
doesn't catch the jaws voice. He upgraded to Jaws 12 and as a result, had to
upgrade his version of total recorder. Now everything he records includes the
jaws voice. If anyone has some tips or guidance, I can let him know what to do.
  Thanks in advance,
  John
