RE: Jaws 9.0 and the windows xp pro log on screen

All I can say is that it still works for me, so it may be a problem with
a driver update on that pc.  Does jaws start talking after you make it
past the logon screen?  Does it give you the "jaws 9" initial message
then, or does it just start speaking your desktop icons and such.

If you hear the jaws 9 initial startup message, your jaws must be
configured to start after the login and not before.  Putting an icon for
it in the startup group would make it work this way.  Putting a key for
it in the run portion of the registry would also make it run after the
logon.

Trying to determine if it's loading and running after the login would be
important to figuring out this problem.

How about pressing insert plus f12 to get the time, does that work while
you're at the logon screen?
